“65” is a mediocre science fiction film about an astronaut who lands on a planet that turns out to be earth some 65 million years ago. This poorly executed movie was produced, directed, and written by the filmmaking duo of Scott Beck and Bryan Woods (“Haunt” 2019); they are responsible for the bad screenplay and sophomoric performances.
Adam Driver, Kylo Ren of “Star Wars” fame, comes across as an amateur in this role as someone who crash lands in outer space, only to find he has to find a way to escape, fight scores of dinosaurs, and care for a young girl, a plot we have seen before. Better luck next time, Adam. The small cast includes Arianna Greenblatt, Chloe Coleman, and Niko King in “65,” a Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures movie that crashes in theatrical release.
