My Review

Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay star as a couple whose forty-fifth wedding anniversary is disrupted by news that the body of his girlfriend from the 1960’s has been discovered in a melting glacier in Switzerland.

Rampling’s performance impressed Academy voters enough that they nominated her for an Oscar for Best Actress, the sole candidate for the coveted Hollywood award from this independent British film, directed by Andrew Haigh (“Black Hawk Down” 2001). However, we have decided that, after viewing “45 Years” that the 95 minute artsy movie is so dull and boring that it only seems to last 45 years.
