My Review

Dudley Moore and Bo Derek were launched into the entertainment industry stratosphere with their starring roles in the hilarious comedy “10.” This look into a man’s midlife crisis and subsequent obsession with an attractive young woman was superbly produced, written, and directed by Blake Edwards (“Days of Wine and Roses” 1962) and still stands as a comedy classic to this day.

Dudley Moore’s patented physical comedy is at the center of the show, with Edwards’ script giving him loads of opportunities in that department, producing tons of laughter. His chemistry with Bo Derek is exceptional; this was her first major film appearance. Edwards’ wife Julie Andrews added much to the project as Moore’s girl friend. (Andrews starred in eight of her husband’s movies.) The talented supporting cast includes Robert Webber, Brian Dennehy, Dee Wallace, Sam J. Jones, Max Showalter, and Nedra Volz.

The very watchable “10” was a smash hit at the box office for Blake Edwards, Orion Pictures, and Warner Bros. Pictures. Guaranteed laughs throughout the whole movie and a great view on DVD today!
